Feedback From Reddit

The reason I decided to go on Reddit, is because from my research I found that Reddit is a good platform to receive feedback.

The sub-reddit that I decided to upload some of  my images to was the r/photocritique, the reason I decided to join this sub-reddit was because this is dedicated to giving feedback. For the title, I named it ‘Looking for feedback on this photo, Be critical. Thanks’. The reason I named it this is because I want people to know what I want, which is feedback.

I added a comment under the post to inform the people who see this, why I am doing this and what I want from this. I thought if they knew my situation they would be more likely to leave a comment.

The first comment that I got this post was from Marchman . In this comment he says that I could soften the image with some  clouds instead of the blank space.

I don’t agree with this comment, because I don’t want it to look soft, I like it the way it is.

The second comment that I got on this post was from cohpik. In this comment he says that I should frame both of the lines at both sides of the frame. He said that this will require a reshoot but I don’t it does, I can always crop the image so the sides lines line up.

The next thing that he says is that at first glance the image look like a minimalist art piece rather than a photo. I prefer the image to look like this because I was going for the minimalist style.

With the comments from Flickr, I already cropped the image so the lines meet up at the same point at each side making it symmetrical.

This was the only post that actually got comments on. In conclusion, I don’t think that reddit is the best place to gather feedback, compared to the other platforms I’ve use  anyway.

I left both of these photos for a couple of days before I came back to collect the comments. At least I got feedback on one of my photos, I can force people to give me feedback.
